Terms of Use

Welcome to EczemaAid App, a mobile application provided by Imperial College London ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE (IMPORTANT)

  • EczemaAid App is a tool designed to help users track and monitor skin conditions. Imperial College London does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. * The content provided, including severity evaluations and trends, is for informational purposes only.

  • Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or dermatologist regarding any medical condition.

  • In the event of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

2. Use of the App

  1. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use this app independently. If you are a parent/guardian using the app for a minor, you agree to take full responsibility for their data and usage.

  2. License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

  3. Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to reverse-engineer the app, use it to distribute malware, or attempt to scrape data from our systems.

3. User-Generated Content

You may upload photos of your skin or log symptoms ("User Content").

  • You retain ownership of your photos.

  • By using the app, you grant us the right to process this data solely to provide the app’s features (subject to our Privacy Policy).

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any photos you provide.

4. No Warranties

EczemaAid App is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for accuracy, Imperial College London does not warrant that the app’s evaluations will be 100% accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Imperial College London shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on the app's severity tracking for medical decisions.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any major changes by posting the new terms within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

7. Governing Law

​These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
